Established in 1984, Court Jester Fancy Dress Hire first opened in Werribee. A few years later on, Court Jester moved to a larger location in Altona Meadows. With demands in the industry and out growing its location, Court Jester moved into its current & much bigger premises, at Harrington Square, in Altona.

In 2006, Court Jester merged with a well known local Newport fancy dress business. This gave us a tremendously extended wardrobe, allowing our business to cater for majority of the western and inner suburbs.

With three generations involved in the family business, this allows us all an input into costume suggestions. Catering for infants to seniors, Court Jester’s wardrobe ranges from small to plus sizes. With new costumes arriving weekly, this makes our supply, never-ending.

Court Jester stocks an expanding range of retail items, including a large selection of children’s costumes, pet costumes, adult costumes*, wigs, hats, latex masks, masquerade mask, eyelashes, fishnets, horror novelties, humour novelties, & lots lots more. Standard Adult hire costs range from $45 - $65, plus a security bond of the same amount, this can be left either cash or credit card imprint which is refunded on your return. All costumes are then launderette externally, allowing Court Jester to maintain its quality and cleanliness reputation.
